Ocean's Eleven is a 2001 comedy-crime caper. It is a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack caper film of the same name. The 2001 film was directed by Steven Soderbergh and features an ensemble cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Andy García, and Julia Roberts. The film was a success at the box office and with critics. Soderbergh directed two sequels, Ocean's Twelve in 2004 and Ocean's Thirteen in 2007.

After being released from prison, Danny Ocean (George Clooney) breaks parole and travels to Los Angeles to meet up with his former partner in crime and close friend Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt) to propose a scheme he has in mind. The two go to Las Vegas to pitch the plan to wealthy friend and former casino owner Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould). The plan consists of robbing the Bellagio, The Mirage, and the MGM Grand casinos. Tishkoff's familiarity with casino security makes him very reluctant to get involved, but when he begins to think of it as a good way to get back at his rival, Terry Benedict (Andy García), who owns the three casinos, Tishkoff agrees to finance the operation. Because the casinos are required by the Nevada Gaming Commission to have enough cash on hand to cover all their patrons' bets, the three predict that, on the upcoming night of a highly anticipated boxing match, the Bellagio vault will contain more than $150 million. Ocean and Ryan recruit eight former colleagues and criminal specialists, including Linus Caldwell (Matt Damon), a young and talented pick-pocket thief. Several of the team members carry out reconnaissance at the Bellagio to learn as much as possible about the security, the routines and behaviors of the casino staff, and the building itself. Others create a precise replica of the vault with which to practice maneuvering through its formidable security systems. During this planning phase, the team discovers that Ocean's ex-wife, Tess (Julia Roberts), is Benedict's girlfriend. Ryan urges Ocean to give up on the plan, believing Ocean incapable of sound judgment while Tess is involved, but Ocean refuses. When the plan is put in motion, Ocean goes to the Bellagio in order to be seen by Benedict, who, as expected, has him locked in a storeroom to be beaten by a bouncer called Bruiser. Ocean, however, knows Bruiser, and he allows Ocean to leave through a ventilation shaft, to meet with his team in the vault. Linus Caldwell poses as a gaming commission agent, confronts Benedict on hiring Frank Catton as an ex-con, and in the process lifting the security code to the vault from Benedict. From there Caldwell and Catton staged a faux confrontation to allow Linus to slip away into the vault after the incident. Yen is smuggled into the vault by the Malloy brothers, to assist in triggering the explosive from the inside. Saul Bloom sneaks explosive into the casino vault by posing as an international arms dealer needing especially secure safekeeping for his valuables, and then stages a heart attack that was treated by Ryan posing as a doctor.

The team activates a stolen pinch device to temporarily disrupt the casino's electrical power, allowing them to breach the vault undetected. As Benedict attempts to restore order following the power outage, Ryan anonymously calls him on a cell phone that Ocean had earlier planted in Tess's coat. Ryan tells him that the vaults are being raided, and that all the money will be destroyed if Benedict does not cooperate in loading half the money into a van waiting outside. Benedict observes video footage of the vault that confirms Ryan's claims, and complies in moving the money, but orders his men to follow the van after it departs, and calls a S.W.A.T. team to secure the vault. The S.W.A.T. team's arrival results in a shootout which causes the incineration of the half of the money left in the vault. After assuring Benedict that the casino is secure, the officers depart. Terry realizes that the vault video feed was faked when he notices that the floors shown in the video lacked Bellagio logos, which had only very recently been added to the floors in the vault. The men following the van discover that it is being driven remotely, and that, instead of money, it contains duffel bags full of flyers advertising prostitutes. A flashback reveals that Ocean had used the vault replica to create the fake video Benedict had seen; the rest of the team posed as S.W.A.T. officers, and took all of the money in the vault when responding to Benedict's call for police assistance. Benedict then returns to the room where he left Ocean and finds him still there, leaving him with no way to connect Ocean to the theft. Ocean offers to assist Benedict in finding the money on the condition that he give up Tess, to which Benedict agrees. It is then revealed that his team had routed live footage of this conversation to Tess's suite. Angry at being used by Benedict, she leaves him and returns to Ocean. Benedict tips off the police, who arrest Ocean for violating parole, and Ocean spends some months in prison. When he is released, he is met by Ryan and Tess, and the three drive off, closely followed by Benedict's bodyguards.

Ocean's Eleven had a budget of about $85 million. On its opening weekend, it grossed an estimate of $38 million and was the top box office draw for the weekend. The film grossed $183,417,150 in the United States and grossed $267,311,379 overseas leaving a worldwide gross of $450,728,529.

Language: Hindi
Story: Himanshu Sharma

Manoj 'Manu' Sharma played by R. Madhavan is a NRI Doctor living in London. He comes back to India on family pressure to find a bride to be and get married. He begins meeting girls lined up by his parents with his parents and his friend Pappi played by Deepak Dobriyal. First he met Tanuja 'Tanu' Trivedi played by Kangna Ranaut. While this meeting, her parents claim that she is ill so has to take tablets which made her drowsy. While Manu goes on to talks to her, he finds out that she is asleep. But he falls in love with her anyway and agrees to get married. But Tanu does not want to marry him and ask Manu to call off the wedding because she loves Raja played by Jimmy Sheirgill. Manu unwillingly calls off the wedding. But he could not forget her and get depressed. So his friend Pappi tries to get him out of it. He suggests that they should go to their friend’s Jassi played by Ejaz Khan wedding in Punjab. But the destiny brought together Tanu and Manu again. Tanu turns out to be best friend of bride to be Payal played by Swara Bhaskar. So Manu again fall back in web of love. Will he able to win back Tanu?
Main character in this movie was of Tanu. She is loud mouthed, tattooed, rebellious small town girl. Kangna Ranaut did great job in parts but her performance was not consistent enough. She played depressed girl in earlier movies so naturally but this character does not seem to come naturally to her. If she could have done little better the movie could have been outstanding. R. Madhavan was good as usual. But Deepak Dobriyal steals the show in various scenes. Director Anand L Rai did very good job. I will like to watch his next movie. Krsna put together good Music Album.
If I have to rate this movie I will give 7 out of 10.

Dil Toh Bachha Hai Ji

 Genre: Romantic Comedy
Director: Madhur Bhandarkar
Language: Hindi
Story: Madhur Bhandarkar, Anil Pandey, Neeraj Udwani
Star Cast: Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Omi Vaidya, Tisca Chopra, Shazahn Padmasee, Shruti Hassan, Shraddha Das
Music: Pritam

“Dil To Baccha Hai Ji” is first attempt from well known and appreciated film director Madhur Bhandarkar in light hearted romantic comedy genre. Before this he made very hardcore serious film and was very successful at it. So what made him try for a change, only he knows; but I am happy he did not opt for crazy slapstick comedy.
This movie is about three guys sharing a room. Naren played by Ajay Devgn is a divorcee who is going through a midlife crisis. He falls in love with his office secretary June played by Shahazn Padamsee. But in the end he finds out she was never interested in him. Then there is Milind a goofy guy played by 3 Idiots fame Omi Vaidya.  He falls in love with an aspiring actress cum RJ played by Shradha Das. She exploits Milind’s money for her advantage. Then there is playboy Abhay played by Emraan Hashmi. He becomes a toyboy to famous socialite played by Tisca Chopra and enjoys all the privileges from this relationship until he falls in love with the daughter of same socialite played by Shruti Hassan. Who also use Abhay as Toyboy for time being and dumps him.
So this is a story of how all of them fall in love head over their heels and eventually gets heartbroken by girls. Although the script tries to be funny, it failed to do so in various scenes. But as for acting all 3 major actors did great job.
If I have to rate this movie I will give it 6 out of 10.

Patiala House

Genre: Drama
Director: Nikhil Advani
Language: Hindi
Story: Nikhil Advani
Dialogues: Ancita Dutt Guptan
Star Cast: Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Hard Kaur, Tinnu Anand, Prem Chopra and others
If any movie could fit in the genre of Drama, it’s got to be “Patiala House”. Akshay Kumar played Gattu in this movie. He is a man who has watched his dreams die and restrained himself from going for his dreams. The movie revolves around the conflict Gattu and his father played by Rishi Kapoor, who lives in London’s Southall area but could never absorb into his adopted country. And prime reason for this was various racial attacks on him and his family. He stood against these racial attacks which results him being jailed for violence against ‘goras’. So he now hates them with such a passion that it is now only motto in his life. So when his son got an opportunity to play for England cricket team, he does not allow him. And his son Gattu gave up his dreams for his father’s sake and live dejected life for years. But his silence affects the other members in his big joint family. They have to kill their dreams as well. Till the character played by Anushka Sharma came into Gattu’s life. She makes Gattu go for his dreams once more. But how will his father react to that?
Frankly apart from Anushka Sharma I could say anything good about this movie. Logic evades me throughout the movie. I can understand a comedy movie being illogical but movie in the genre of Drama needs some logic. Anyway this movie was lot better than Nikhil Advani’s recent movies.
If I have to rate this movie I will give it 5 out of 10.

NO STRINGS ATTACHED

Movie Review “No Strings Attached” (2011)

Genre: Romantic Comedy
Director: Ivan Reitman
Language: English
Story: Michael Samonek, Elizabeth Meriwether
Screenplay: Elizabeth Meriwether
Star Cast: Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher, Kevin Kline, Cary Elwes and others

I had to admit, I watched this movie because Ashton Kutcher is in it. He is like a veteran now in Romantic Comedy movies but I like his “Butterfly Effect” the most. I like this actor.
To tell you what this movie is about, as the title says “No Strings Attached”, it is a story of 2 people who don’t want to get into any relationship. They just want physical relationship and no emotional attachment. But can they sustain it?
Adam played by Ashton Kutcher and Emma played by Natalie Portman first meet at camp, then several years later, at a party. Several years after that Adam has been dumped by a hot girlfriend and not just dumped she dumped him for his father. Adam drinks himself silly and next morning he finds himself naked in Emma's apartment, where she stays with her roommates. They have sex, next day Adam approach Emma to take one step forward but Emma is not interested in relationship. Instead she proposes that they should be using each other for sex without any emotional attachment. Adam obviously agrees and they have raunchy sex for days. You will think Adam will be happiest person in the world. But no he wants more; he wants to be in relationship with Emma. Will Emma agree? We will find that out end of the movie.
There are no dull moments in the movie as such. Like any other romantic comedy, this is light hearted entertaining movie. Both actors are pleasing to eyes and carried the role easily.
If I have to rate this movie I will give it 6 out of 10.
